As we wind down Advent and get ready to Celebrate Christmas tomorrow, I hope we will take time to think about the love that Jesus has for us ALL.
A love that:
Is beautiful
Has no barriers
Teaches us to love our neighbors
Helps us grow
Is bigger than we can ever think or imagine
A love of renewal and hope for true peace and joy
After tomorrow when the pretty decor starts to come down and the feelings of giving back start to lessen I hope we can find ways to keep the magic of Christmas going.
For the church folk let’s work on looking to the Word of God and His promises and apply that to how we interact with folks. If we are to spread the good news of God’s love let’s welcome people to our tables without barriers.
Be the helping hand of support to a family member or friend
Be willing to pause and think about how others are feeling
Be ready to admit you are wrong
Be open and available to share love
Be ready to break bread with someone different than you (coffee and a chat goes a long way)
Choose to choose love over all the buts and what-ifs
Make that choice today and give yourself grace along the way
The abundance of love you will share and receive will surely make your life better.
And now these three remain faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is LOVE -1 Corinthians 13:13 NIV
Have a wonderful Christmas.
