Happy Monday ❤️
Welcome to week 4 of Come Journal With Me.📝
This week’s journal prompt is:
Think about a time when you chose the more difficult path instead of the easier one.
I was thinking about this over the weekend, and there have been a few times recently when the easier path would have been my preference, but when I weighed out pros and cons, I realized the more difficult path would be best in the long term.
I was NOT happy with that realization, and I did the pros and cons list a few times.
Same conclusion each time.
Ugh
The funny thing is that whenever I am in situations where the easy way out is an option in a tough situation, 9 times out of 10, I already know that I will end up choosing the harder route, but still, I think about that easy option.
These are times when I am grateful for discernment.
As cliché as it sounds, the easiest choice is not always best.
I would love you to comment on your experience with choosing the hard route.
If you need some ideas on what to journal about, here are a few suggestions:
What compelled you to make the harder choice?
How did it feel making the harder choice?
If you had an option to do it again, would you still choose the harder option?
I look forward to seeing you in the comments, and if you didn't get a chance to complete last week's journal prompt, you can still do so.
“May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears.” -– Nelson Mandela
drinking my tea and reading this I have a similar situation right now I need to make a pros and cons list before having some hard talks with loved ones.
I tell my kids this allllllll the time. I learned this the hard way.
