Summer is meant for rest and relaxation, when honestly summer has become inundated with one activity after another.
Our calendars are filled with travel plans, pool parties , cook outs and more. You name it and its on the calendar.
I do enjoy summer fun and activities, but honestly summer is not my favorite time of year.
Why? You may ask. Well, personally it's the HUMIDITY! Ugh...
As I age I have found, heat & humidity "are a few of my least favorite things," while singing from my own sound of music.
Oh I'll be right there, basking in the summer sun with all of my family and friends, but you can be sure I will be earnestly trying to balance myself on some sort of colorful float ,snazzy sunglasses, floppy hat and fruity drink in hand!
Summertime
Lead me to the beach:
The sounds of waves crashing
Laughter
Calm
Reading and napping
A tropical drink or a nice brew🍺🍹
Star gazing
A time to be carefree and dream
I will enjoy all of this once summer break starts.
